Il 28 marzo del 1973 usciva per la Atlantic Records il quinto album in studio della leggendaria band britannica. Nonostante considerato un lavoro minore rispetto ai precedenti album, a detta di tutti definiti immortali, il disco contiene vere e proprie gemme che non sfigarano all'interno del foltissimo repertorio della band inglese: "The Song Remain The Same", "No Quarter", "The Rain Son", "D'yer Mak'er" ne rappresentano un chiaro esempio.
