THE CULT: nuovo album e singolo

I The Cult tornano con il nuovo album “Under The Midnight Sun”, prodotto da Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost, Royal Blood) in uscita il 7 Ottobre 2022 via Black Hill Records.

Per festeggiare l’annuncio del loro undicesimo album in studio, la band pubblica “Give Me Mercy” – dal singolo emerge come nei sei anni che separano la band dal loro ultimo lavoro, i membri fondatori Ian Astbury e Billy Duffy, si siano spinti ulteriorimente verso la loro natura esoterica.
 
Affiancato dal dinamico riff di Billy Duffy, con “Under The Midnight Sun”  Astbury ci rivela un lato sempre più intimo e dichiara: “I was absolutely enamored with this piece of music Billy had written, and it perfectly fit these thoughts I’d been having about our culture’s need to move past assumptions of duality.  We need new language because words can’t express where we’re going”. Duffy afferma: “‘Give Me Mercy’ has all the hallmarks of the new classic Cult to my ears … fresh yet familiar”.
